I wasn’t expecting to get into this, or even enjoy it. But 20 pages in and I had no choice! Fast, furious, with power-packed politics, battles and betrayals. Brilliant!

A truly beautiful tale, wonderfully translated. Something to warm your heart, reaffirm your faith in people and give you back your hope.
Detailed and devious, a hot and dusty read, which neither excuses the Englishman’s behaviour nor justifies it. A cleverly crafted crime in an utterly vivid setting – so glad to hear that it will be a series!
Every now and then a story comes along to really warm you. Uncomplicated, but far from simple. The Grotts loved it. I loved it – a touch of whimsy and old school adventures in the modern world.
Thorough enjoyable historical crime. Perfect for curling up with on a cold and rainy night!
It’s rough; sodden with whiskey and good intentions. A political thriller, crime and mystery all wrapped up in the city of Sydney. Sometimes things go very wrong in the pursuit of justice.
I thought I’d just read a few pages… But got sucked in alongside some very real characters and a very real crime. Twisty and fascinating, you’ll need to read right to the end before you’ll discover the answers.
Read in a single sitting, fascinating and terrifying at the same time. Well worth reading the notes afterwards… And then you may need to read something lighter before heading to bed!
Really am enjoying a return to the mystery genre for young readers. Nancy Drew eat your heart out!
I love Rusty Bore. A small, tiny town with characters bigger than the silos. Another great mystery, more great escapades, and of course… Those ferrets.
