The complications that made me lose track in the last book have all disappeared in this tale. Complicated, twisty and brilliantly put together; history and mystery meld together in a crime that take technology and harnesses it for evil, not good!

I am adoring this series – the writing, the atmosphere, the twisty mystery, colour and characters! Something for those who want a bit of depth and difference to the usual 1920’s whodunnits!
A great mystery, with a budding investigative reporter, a ghost and a washed out detective. This has great good guys, spectacular bad guys, and is cleverly crafted to keep the Grott Monster’s attention right through til the end!
Dive headlong into the politics of a polygamous marriage and the personalities of four very different women, all there for very different reasons of their own.
Beautifully written, it’s fascinating and bewildering in turns – A great Autumn read!
Would you be surprised at the real stories your grandparents told you? And would they tell you everything? When nothing is spoken of, assumptions are made, and they can be deadly… A twisty thriller where things aren’t always as connected as coincidences would have us believe!
I’m not sure how to describe this – fascinating, interesting, intriguing, a little twisty and a worthy read … Yep! That’ll have to do!
I loved Artemis Fowl, and Vern hits all the right spots as an adult reader. Gritty, sweary, funny and fast paced, it’s brilliant, quirky and a breath of high octane fresh air!
Told from four different perspectives it will draw you in slowly, an easy read for a sunny afternoon!
When all the evidence is tacked up against you, it doesn’t matter if you’re innocent – fantastic and twisty!
Ok – this had me guessing, and wondering, and double checking… and then there was the frustration because I couldn’t figure how who was telling the truth. Brilliant!
