A lovely read to be savoured in a comfy chair on a warm afternoon. Written in the style of the Golden Age of Mystery, this is an anecdote to modern crime.
Book Synopsis
Mist, mountains, murder…
Ageing millionaire Bhaskar Fernandez has invited his relatives to the remote and possibly haunted Greybrooke Manor in the misty Nilgiris for the last time. He knows that his guests expect to gain from his impending death, and to safeguard himself against violence, he writes two conflicting wills.
Which one of them comes into force depends on how he dies.
Fernandez also invites Harith Athreya, a seasoned investigator, to watch what unfolds. When a landslide occurs, temporarily isolating them and resulting in a murder, Athreya finds that murder is not the only thing the mist conceals.
